Ed,
    Make sure the battery is holding at least 10 volts while cranking.  Any
less than that and the computer won't come to life. You can crank forever and
it won't start.
    That plastic fuse holder behind the passenger seat.  Unplug it from the
wires and put it in the glove compartment for a souvenir.  Then get a late
model blade type fuse and plug the wires to it and you are good to go
forever.
    The flywheel sensors.  Check them one at a time with an ohm meter.  Should
be about 1k ohms between 2 wires and nothing on the other.  If it reads
anywhere near 1k ohms it is good.  If it reads nothing, change it.  They are
common Bosch sensors available at most parts stores.  Check them one at a time
and plug them back in.  It's easy to get them swapped.
    And NO, don't ask how I learned this stuff ;-)
