Fellas, Went to Criswell Chevy in Gaithersburg, MD to test a Chevy Cruze Eco model. I was very pleased with its performance and ride and handling, and price. The sixth gear is very tall, but the engine appears to be able to pull the gear on all but very steep grades. With a price of 19,400 dollars, the car seems perfectly fine for a commuter.
Literally next door, is the Fiat dealership that Criswell operates. They had a Fiat 500 Sport version as a demo, and we hopped in for a test drive...... umm, well, its really slow, it a bit noisy, its not really hardly any fun at all to drive. Sorry. However, the sales director informed me they have signed a contract to sell Alfas in 2012, though there is no word on what cars would be sold. All sorts of people were lining up to test the Fiat. Its really quite a fad, for the moment. If you are considering selling your real Alfa for a modern Fiat, please drive this car before making any decisions.
