just a quick note about the common one/two line spam that is intermittantly leaking
onto the digest.

these are generally a result of accounts at major email providers (hotmail, yahoo, aol, etc.) getting hacked. the spammers, once they have stolen the accounts, then
proceed to send these short spams to the address books they've cracked.

when i see these come up, i generally remove the account from the list. this means that no more spam will be routed through the digest from that account, however, other address book entries will still be vulnerable. there's not much i can do about that, it's up to the account owner to work with his/her email service provider to
deal with that.
