What method do you use to clean threaded fasteners?
Taps and dies always work. But on a recent episode of "Gearz" on SpeedTV,
Stacey David talked about how using a cutting tool, like a tap or die, will
wear the thread if you use it for this purpose. He showed a thread cleaning
kit made just for just such a purpose. Each tool in the kit looked like a
tap or die, but they're designed to preserve the threads and not wear them.
