Thanks for the replies so far, everybody. These pretty much echo what others 
have also replied to me off-Digest, so I'll think I'll give them a miss, for 
my standard road application. Although, so far, the auction-bidding's only 
up to $50NZ (about $40US!), so I'm very tempted to just try them anyway, if 
they finally sell for that price. It'd be a very cheap spare exhaust 
manifold if nothing else.
