The gas peddle in my 74 Alfa Spider links through the firewall to a lever which in turn is attached to a foot long cable through a bolt and connects around a pulley with a ball on the other end. The cable at the bolt had snapped. Can I get this cable at an auto store? Attaching the cable be simply tightening it under a bolt head does seem like a durable solution. Thanks for the advice.
