American Modern Home Insurance (Heacock). Claim Denied
First, I'd like to express my opinion on this classic insurance demands
to have your car stored in a locked garage 100% of the time when not
pleasure riding. I think this is impossible.
I had to do some work in my garage. I had to use the space my 74 Spider
took up so I parked it outside.Around 11:00pm I went to pull the Spider
into the garage and someone had taken a very large rock and smashed the
windshield.
I reported this to the insurance and they denied the claim stating and
quoting from my policy that the insurance requires me to store my Alfa
in a locked garage 100% of the time when not pleasure riding.
