I didn't notice the original roll call, just seeing all the responses.
Don't know if it was meant for the lurkers only, or just everyone
still here.

I'm still here. Been a member since 92 or 93 when I got my first
Alfa. I was on a hot-rod forum to gain some know how and ask
questions and asked if anyone knew of an Alfa or Italian car
digest. It was Lorenzo ("Ring") from Hawaii, that answered about
the Italian car digest as it was called at the time. When it peeled
off to the Alfa digest, I kept both subscriptions. I had a Fiat for
a time too, so was still interested in that.

I've learned so much thanks to the list and all the experts that
are/were on. It would seem after 18 or 19 years I should be able
to answer more questions than I do, but I still ask maybe 20
questions to every 1 that I can answer. Everyone is still answering
my questions and I'm grateful for that.

I'm also pretty active on the AlfaBB and the AlfaGTV6.com as
those mediums are able to host tons of pictures to document
restorations and pinpoint problems that the word alone cannot.
I created my album page to point people to pictures to help
identify things, so that has helped to, but I see the limitations
of the digest.

There have been some heated discussion here in the past, but
the frequency of this happening on the other forums is far greater.
Some of those guys are brutal. Even some so called experts
have been very unforgiving of peoples' dabbling in their areas of
expertise. I am following a thread right now where a certain gear
expert is thrashing people for no good reason. Pretty disgusting
behavior. People on this digest have been very cordial in comparison.
Maybe it's a smaller community, or people read their emails
before posting as opposed to filling out a text box and hitting submit.

I will remain a member as long at it is still up. If for some reason it
must end, I hope that the digests will remain on the web in a
search-able format. There is too much valuable information here
just to close down.

Thanks for all the fish. (not saying so long, though).
