As to the new Dart - remember, despite all the press references to the Dart having Alfa DNA, it's been designed and tuned as a Dodge, not an Alfa in Dodge clothing. Remember that apes and humans share - what? - 99% of their DNA. I expect it could be a competent American-style compact. Hope it is, for Chrysler/Fiat's sake. Apparently the marketers have managed to upset two groups of their potential buyers - those who think the car should have been styled and introduced as an Alfa and those '70s-'80s hot-rodders upset with the re-use of the Dart name for something so foreign.
