Hello from a 105 series owner who is thinking about going from a spin-on to the original design. I have an old FISPA housing in a box with some funky foam sleeves and some wire mesh and .... I think I am missing some springs or washers ...but in actuality, would a reader with experience mind telling me the down-side of the original design? I don't mind the difficulty of changing the filter or the mess...but do they end up leaking? They were certainly fine in production for all those years..but....
I wasn't around when they were new...how is your experience been forty years later. Thanks for any words to share on the subject.
