I have a need for the lampholder hardware for GTV6 including the later 4-cylinder GTV Alfetta's with the later style rear lights (the big ugly ones).
The condition of the circuit board is of no importance as I have new circuit boards made that I fit with reconditioned hardware. Some of you may have seen them on http://www.motozane.com/GTV6TaillightPCB.html. Heck, some of you have even bought them! The hardware I need is the lampholder and the wiper contact that delivers power to the bulb. The hardware is replated (correctly with tin rather than nickel) but I am getting low on finished lampholders and one client never sent the old boards back ($100 core charge apparently not incentive enough). With a few sets of finished lampholders I can send out complete assemblies and wait for the old boards to be returned (hopefully). To keep costs down it makes sense to re-plate 3 or 4 sets (30 to 40 lampholders) at a time hence this request. I'll pay $3.50 per usable lampholder and 50 cents for each contact wiper (one lampholder has 2) plus $5 for shipping Priority Mail. Useable means not being as corroded as this http://tinyurl.com/7j4z66a but like this http://tinyurl.com/7w8el2z is perfect. Some rusting or discoloration is usually OK. The wiper is brass so any corrosion is limited to the nickle plating. They are still treated to fresh tin which is better as tin is self-lubricating and is used in most marine applications where reliability is important. I have posted similar requests on AlfaBB and have spoken to several Alfisti that are known to have several (if not heaps) of them lying around (Greg, are you reading this?) but none have yet arrived at; Motozane 4538 SE Roethe Rd Unit 102 Milwaukie OR 97267 So, if you have spare boards lying around gathering dust or about to be thrown out think of me. Please. I can also return the original circuit board if you prefer. I can usually remove the hardware without damaging the PCB. I would prefer to do this myself as it is easy to damage the lampholder when drilling the eyelets (rivets) out. Of course, if you have a GTV6 with dim-watted rear lights or with an annoying tendency to not ignite when needed I can cure that. The original intent was to retain some originality with the replacement PCB's but I have looked into using more contemporary lampholders due to this availability issue. If anyone cares to reply on whether using the original hardware is important that would be helpful. The new boards and refinished hardware do look good though.. Thanks to Stevan for our conversation yesterday. My apologies if this sounds too much like an infomercial rather than a post. I hope all the links work. Thanks in advance to any and all that respond.
