Joan, Delmas Green is/was the us Alfa factory guy in the US. He may read
this, you can certainly find him through the Alfabb.com or if you are an
Alfa Owners Club member he is very accessable through their resources.
He can at least find Alfa's claimed productions numbers. Alternatively,
you can contact the historian at Alfa Romeo. Try google, it is something
like alfa historico. They will send you the same information possibly on
official letterhead. A better bet might be to contact Keith Martin at the
Sports Car Market Report. Or at least see if you can find something
through his report. Go for it. Your insurance company has no clue what
they are dealing with. That said, pretty much everthing Alfa built after
1976 has less dollar value than it has emotional value for those of us
who appreciate it Maybe try Hagerty or Heacock insurance in the future.
I have been with Heacock with my '85 GTV-6 since about 2001, long before
the car was 25 years old. Best, Scott ShureEllicott City, MD Date: Mon, 6

Subject: [alfa] Production figures for 1991 164S?

In a campaign to keep PEMCO from totalling my 1991 164S, I need to
document
its relative scarcity -- I'm having trouble finding out how many "S"
model
1991 164s were sold in the USA. Can anyone point me to a source? Thank
you, Joan
