Joan hope that works out for you. We have been saving and driving them
there eyetalian cars since 1980.

The beauty of your crisis management escapade is we all learned more than
we did before about our beloved 164 models.

Every day is a learning experience if you give it a chance.

Subject: Re: E: [alfa] Production figures for 1991 164S?

Good news this morning -- PEMCO is repairing my 164S, not totalling it. I
sent them my (breathtakingly substantial) receipts, the import data, and
the Hagerty standards and value estimates. Twenty four hours later they
told the body shop to go ahead.

I am really grateful for all the front and backchannel advice and support,
and for the statistical maniacs both here and on the AlfaBB. You may not
be saving lives, but you sure are saving cars.

I think this autumn will be when my freshly repaired gem becomes a Sunday
treat and not a daily driver. And switches over to Hagerty insurance. So
of course then the question becomes: what on earth approaches the
experience of driving my Alfa?

Thank you all again. You're a marvel.

Joan
