David, The majority of the time the culprit is the throttle linkage bell crank that is located directly underneath the throttle body. You need to remove it from the car so that you can disassemble it for a proper cleaning and lubrication. And while you are at it, look at each of the throttle linkage connectors - over time they become very loose and can cause the similar symptoms. Probably best to just replace each one you find.
