I would suggest checking switch and connections first - I found that on my '91 Spider cleaning the contact in the switch and making sure the connectors to the motor and within the door were clean helped a lot as did making sure the lubricating grease had no hardened on the rack.B The anecdotal comments on the digest in the past have been that it is more likely switches and connectors than the actual motor
