Gee guys, I hope I am being sufficiently "ebullient" in my thanks for
all the great info you're sending about the topic of cooling OLD cars!
I had no idea about the issue of pressurization, nor even whether engine
cooling was efficient at all. Lately I am driving my mom's Mazda Protege5
on a regular basis, and this car basically doesn't need any care of any
of the fluids that I can tell (although it seems to require a steady diet
of expensive but poorly-manufactured head lights.) You know, you go out to
the garage and sort of look at the car, and that's kind of the extent
of it ....
All this talk almost makes me want to drag the cover off the Spider and
do some diagnostics. After I got her running again (oh, this was a few
years ago, so she's prolly stopped running again) and we had our first
turn around the neighborhood at 10mph, the engine would cut out on
right-hand turns. Ehhhhhh, maybe I don't want to work on that just now...
&:-))))
Great hearing from all you again!!
Take care,
Tess
