I felt more than a little rewarded to read such a variety of answers. And
the people I've been doing these translations for were thrilled to have
news of their great grandparents, so it was nice to be able to add some
"local color."
In writing, several of you said you didn't think I'd get much
response, since the digest was not very active right now. Has the
economy caused the world to re-focus on priorities? Has the new
(moronic, in my view) trend towards lean management meant the death of
vintage cars? I do see vintage P-cars in these here parts, but Very Few
Alfas on the road. Well, maybe winter isn't the time to be doing the
observation...
