Gentle Alfisti,
Here's something odd: the brake light switch is part of a hydraulic union 
mounted to the firewall on this 66GT. It passes a continuity test when I step 
on the pedal. I can make the ohm meter go from one to small fractions. It will 
not, however, carry twelve volts to illuminate the rear lights. I've bypassed 
the switch and the lights light-up just fine. I've tested the switch several 
times and it reveals the same symptoms.  It breaks resistance, but will not 
carry voltage. Has anyone ever encountered such a perplexity?
