jak -- If you're replacing pads and turning rotors every 3-5 years I'd say that's about par for the course if the car's a daily driver. I get about the same intervals on my Forester, sometimes even shorter. If you drive on salted roads in the winter that would probably corrode the calipers, though it's been a while since I lived in that part of the world, so I'm no authority on that. No, there are things about the 164 that I wish had been done differently, but the brakes are not one of them. I wish the Milano's were that good.
