Thanks for the wiring explanation Brian. I don't like fooling around with those coloured tubes because every time I do, I let the blue smoke out of them :-).
I just sold a 1973 GTV which was interesting because it had aircraft landing lights in place of the inner high-beam headlamps. To handle the current draw, someone had wired them up with relays. Man, they lit up the night like you wouldn't believe! I hated to see that car leave with it's new owner but recovery/repair work on my severely damaged garage needs space, and funds of course.
