Changing the fuel pump is not difficult at all. Just be sure you get some of those fuel line pincher tools (or locking vice grips) so fuel doesn't spill out when you separate the lines. I use two pinchers on the inlet tube and one on the outlet tube. I got some leaking when I only used one, so I always use two now. You can find them at most auto parts stores.
