I've been running Sumitomos from Tire Rack for about ten years, mostly
the high-performance summer ones, though I think those are disappearing.
However, the All-Weather Touring I switched to for the Subaru track as
well as the HPs I used to run and are a lot quieter but those are 16",
so possibly not relevant. And my current Milano is a Platinum, so I'm
out of 14"-wheel cars.
Tire Rack's website has both testing data and customer reviews of all
their tires except for the brand-new ones. I tend to focus on customer
comments from BMW drivers, since a lot of them drive pretty much like I
do. Then when you start looking for tires you can filter by size, type
and performance level.
