I've just committed a change to nALFS (rev 1844) to allow the
downloading and digest checking of packages contained within the
<unpack> and <download> elements without executing the rest of the
profile.

To summarise, this version adds
-d - disable digest checking of packages
-D - just download and digest check packages
and fixes an error reporting bug.
Please note that the current LFS profile checks the existence of the
packages in /tools/packages-*** dir which isn't created before the
profile is first run. You must first create this directory or run the
two 'Make directories' steps at the beginning of
chapter05/creatingtoolsdir.xml before running nALFS -D on the LFS.xml
profile.
