Yes, the bc program is missing on that CD-Live version. Not a big issue,
except that the summary build report don't will be created.

Well, the actual issue is that your jhalfs/packages file is empty.
That is due that the jhalfs version included in that CD-Live is "old" and
don't work with current {C,H}LFS SVN books.
I hope that pre5 will be released soon.
