   It would be up to Manuel to authorize an official release of the
project. Is there a problem with using a svn version for testing. (I

OK.  We'll see what Manuel has to say.  As for snapshot vs. svn, it's
just a bit easier to tell people to fetch a tarball than to pull from
svn.

   The included README makes perfect sense to me but the questions that
show up on the list say otherwise. I will see what I can come up with.

I'll take a look at it and see if anything seems unclear.  I probably
won't get the chance to actually run a build till next week, though.
