Sorry for the delay in answering. Thanks for both replies.   The situation 
resolved itself when I downloaded another SVN version.  And the method 
described help in building LFS.

I'm trying to submit a report to 'jhalfs-repo...@linuxfromscratch.org' but it's 
bouncing, any reason?
