I was just trying to build LFS on my G3, G4 and G5 Apple computers by following
the LFS-8.1 book.
I have built in the past LFS-6.4, LFS-6.8, LFS-7.2 and LFS-7.7 on PowerPC-7200
and 7500 and on the G3 and G4 without any significant change to the books.

Something must have changed fundamentally with LFS-8.x, because I now had to
modify the following command-files for a successful build:
- 034-binutils-pass1
- 035-gcc-pass1
- 040-gcc-pass2
- 072-creatingdirs
- 076-glibc
- 087-gcc

clfs was for sure useful during my quest.

This is my first LFS-build on a 64-bit machine (the iMac G5). The host
distribution is Ubuntu-12.0.4, which is, I believe, 32-bit.
I therefore expected that LFS-8.1 would still be 32-bit.
So, I am a bit surprised that I built a 64-bit system…
