My school is actually AFRAID of Linux. I suggested it to them, and told them that it would save them money (no more paying for partnerships with Novell and Microsoft), and explained a few of the security vulnerabilities that Windows has. They pulled me out of a test that I was taking, and interrogated me for 2 hours. They threatened to prevent me from accessing their computers; or take legal action against me; simply because I knew about Linux. They are afraid of people who know about technology, and want Microsoft to control everything. All of their products are from Microsoft, and they spend millions of dollars on MS technology.
