Hi Everybody,

I am working on developing a guided help system (akin to a diagnosis
system) where the system asks some questions (which mostly have boolean
answers) and based on the response the next question is selected and so
on. This progressively leads to a diagnosis. An example of this kind of
system which many must have seen is the Hardare Troubleshooting guide
in Windows.

I am familiar with forward, backward chaining concepts and rule based
systems using Rete Algorithm, but once I had heard about a concept for
solving this exact same problem. But I can't remember neither the name
nor the paper. If you have any leads please post them here.
