*Job title : BI Business /Systems Analyst* *Location : New Haven, CT* *Duration : 6+ months* *Rate : $50/Hr* Project details Details: Participate in Business Intelligence (BI)/Reporting projects and perform complex analytics, requirements gathering, design, testing and support in response to customer BI reporting and analytic needs. Essential Duties: Business Intelligence (BI) Requirements Management Collaborate with process owners, business managers, technical staff and project managers to define business needs and document requirements. Combine business and advanced technical knowledge to determine the most appropriate approach to meeting a business need. Execute Business Integration Testing (BIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) testing procedures to ensure high quality solutions. Act as Lead in coordinating cross-team testing activities, tests solutions, coordinates enhancements and communicates test results. Identify, verify and document functional requirements using requirements management methodology and tools (e.g. SDLC.). Translate business requirements into functional design specifications. Collaborate with project management leadership to develop and maintain project plans. Analytics Development & Support Design and support complex ad-hoc report development as needed. Support business unit self-service capabilities by defining the business needs and requirements for data acquisition and reporting services. Respond to end-user questions regarding choice of the most appropriate analytical tools and models to best meet their needs, parameter setting and query structures for ad-hoc reporting. Assist in the identification of needs for new tools and models required to meet customer reporting and analytic objectives.
