Hi Raghav, I dont have much idea about the organisation. I gave a look at the idea page while searching for an organisation to work for, and this is what I could figure out.
The work you need to do for app inventor for GSoC is not android application development. App inventor is for ones who dont know how to code. The coding involved in it will not use the Android SDK rather it will use Android NDK. As the idea page of the organization suggests, you need to fill in the form they have provided. Checkout the code of app inventor and try to see how things are implemented and try to figure out how you can implement one of the ideas listed on the idea page. Hope that make things a bit clear.
