Problem is as usual: writing such material is a lot of work, and it is hard to find time for it. In any case, I would suggest getting comfortable with SML first, using some of the material linked from the Tour, and then try diving into the more advanced features of Alice ML. For a high-level overview of those, the best we have to offer atm is the paper "Alice Through the Looking Glass" that you can find on the papers page (note that there is a somewhat more detailed Extended Mix). Not much of a tutorial, I'm afraid...
