Hi! Voice guidance can be used to set the clock on this recorder however theres a oddity which users should be aware of. The clock has 2 formats of displaying time, 12 and 24 hour and you toggle between the two by using the function key to the right of the menu key so far so good. The problem comes when you’re setting the clock in 12 hour mode as AM or PM isn’t announced by Voice Guidance. Perhaps the way around this is to set the time in 24 hour mode and then toggle back to 12. Its hardly an issue I guess when you consider that there’s no way that I know of for the Olympus to read out the time anyway. The only time this will be an issue is when you’re transferring files from the recorder to a computer or similar device where date and time stamping is crucial for organisational purposes.
