Yes, its more powerful than the older model I had. Actually the 3400H wasn’t my model of choice, I wanted the model down which is the 2400H however the place I got the Receiver from had the 3400H on special and thus it was only $200 more expensive than what I would have paid fro the 2400H so quite a bargain was to be had <smile>. Oh yes, this receiver is built around streaming and around a network thus Internet Radio is a part of all that along with just about every music subscription service you can think of. My older amp had quite a few streaming options but nowhere near as many as presented in the 3400H. We have to remember too that the older model - the avr2113 - is now 6 years old and technology has marched along without stopping in those 6 years.
