Hmm.. most interesting. I’ve never attempted opening MP3 files with Goldwave longer than an hour but I’m wondering if there’s another issue at play here. You know of course that when a MP3 file is opened then hits decoded to a wave file. TyTypically wave files can’t be any larger than around 2GB so perhaps this might actually be causing the problem? The developer of gold wave seemed very responsive when I raised questions with him about the product quite some time ago so this may be something worth getting his thoughts on as its very possible that nothing can be done about it.
