Hm, didn't he say he was not using any plugins? I know that the final build of Winamp did remove some no longer functional/redundant features. I use it, and no extra plugins at the moment, and the program works great so long as I create playlists using the shell options and not so much the playlist editor, which seems to disappear/crash winamp more than it used to in older Windows. No problems with load time on my Windows 10 machine though, even when I was running an older version. Of course, I don't use the library, nor the always-useless winamp agent.
