I'm pretty much told you a great deal already <smile>
The Soundblaster Audio HD is a black box with a volume knob, headphons and 
microphone sockets on the front and line-in-out and fono inputs on the back 
along with SPDIF in and out.
Supports sampling rates up to 192KHZ 24-bit.
Its just a straight audio stereo device with no surround-sound.
