Hi,
As has been noted in prior threads they're similar in shape and size and internal and additional memory it can support but the p4 has more file formats into which it can record. It also boasts bluetooth connectivity for playback should one wish. My p4 isn't here yet but it has been my experience that the p2 seemed to eat through batteries even when not in use. I'm hoping that's a smidge better in the p4. Time will tell.
Take good care.
Robin
