Ah yeah the H2N did sound kinda geeky and cool when Neal demoed it. Yeah Neal didn't talk about the menus much on his H6 podcast. Cause he said it would be best to write them up. Then for the H5 he said he was gonna do a short cuts sheet. Where he tells you how many times to arrow to get to menus and menu choices. But I haven't heard from him since.

You brave hamit, I guess I'm not that far yet. I was considering
rather the h2n as it have 4 microphones, wich could be great. And also
free types of auto gain. I think the IQ7 can also help if you want the
same sound as h4n on iphone. But yes let us no how you get on. I am
also wundering about the menus. Do they rap, and do their positions
get remembered and so on?

Apps for the H6? That's new. But yes you can use it as an audio
interface for your PC or Mac and an IOS device with the camara kit.

Phantom power I don’t use myself.
Keeping track of the folders? I use my computer for that, removing the SD
card isn’t hard and putting the SD card into a Notebook or a Intel Nuc
here here is a snap.
There’s also a few Apps for the recorder if you have an IOS device
according to the manual, I’v not done too much research on this yet.

Cool. Yeah I'd set mine to 96 24 also. I just wander things like the
Phantum power. Like does it shut off when you disarm the XLR Chanal you
were using? or do you have to dive into the menus again to shut off the
power if you don't need it? How does 1 keep track of the folders?
Especially if this thing creates folders for each recording under each of
it's own 10 folders.

That’s one of the 50 thousand projects I have here to write up a menu
map and so on for the Zoom H6.
The Menu system isn’t complex so it can be done, just a matter of
getting someone with the time because there’s heaps of stuff to note.
I found the manual a good help in finding out most of what I need to
know, its a huge manual but mainly a good read.
As you can see though the majority of functions are easily set thus you
can start recording straight away.
Other functions I set by default, the sampling rate to 96KHZ/-24-Bit for
example, when you’ve got a large memory card you may as well use the
best quality you have at your fingertips.

Well friends, I've gone and done it. I've just called sweet water sound
and got my self a Zoom H6 for my birthday. As you all may know the
LS-100 of Olympus is no more. But I then figured ah what the hell why
not. I like the H6 quality. I'm making this harder then it need be.
This is 2018. One can sympally use AIRA or Be My Eyes when there's no
sighted person arround. So meh let's do this. Any starting tips and
tricks I should be aware of? I can't get hold of neal for his cheet
sheets and stuff. Thanks.
