I don't think the chap writing the original message quoted a model number so I
can't track down to much information.
I have read reviews of B&O speakers in the past and whilst all reviews have
praised the speakers they have complained about the price tag.
Now for what its worth from my point of view regarding Google Assistants or
whatever? I reckon a person is far better off buying a Google Home say to
command a speaker with Chromecast built-in or a Chromecast audio or video unit
connected to a TV or speakers, Hi-Fi etc.
That way the user gets far more flexibility and a better all-roudn quality
audio experience.
I wouldn't recommend anyone listen to music or even radio on a Google Home
alone.
There are some really nice Chromecast speakers out there which offer superb
value for money.
If you want a starting point then have a look at the JBL Playlist, I paid $120
for mine which is on top of the kitchen fridge.
The JBL Playlist looks like a football and provides a very satisfying sound for
the price and the size.
You can control pausing and navigation of tracks being streamed and you can use
Bluetooth to pair with a mobile device if you like.
My absolute favourite Chromecast speaker is the Sony SRSX99B speaker I
purchased around a year ago and this is a brute of a speaker which will fill a
big room with beautiful sound.
The SRSX99B has too many features to mention so, it has Chromecast streaming
built-in obviously along with Bluetooth APTX and LDAC, HD Audio Playback,
connectivity to a computer for use as a Sound Device, USB connection for memory
sticks, Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity for playing of Internet radio and tracks
from a Server/NAS and muc much much more!
Its cheaper than the B&O <smile>
