Hello Christopher,

Not sure to which generation you refer. Someone reported that the new 3rd 
generation had changed with software replacing physical controls. However, I do 
not know if this applies to the 2 i 2.

What I can tell you is that the 2 i 2 2nd  Generation is accessible. The gain 
knobs are physical controls. They have a little notch so you can feel their 
positions. I understand that there are indeed pretty LED lights that visually 
show something but as I can't see it doesn't bother me.

Be sure you know what generation you are thinking of buying. The 3rd generation 
maybe the same as the second and it is just the larger 4 i 2 etc that has 
replaced the knobs for software.

The manuals are readily available so grab one and read up on each unit.
