Hi Merv. Unfortunately welcome to the future. Lots of the new recorders have touch screens. Now when you mean you want accessibility what do you exactly mean? Because a just turn it on and record thing I don't know unless the Zoom H1 N is like the original H1. But you made this harder by saying you want the possibility of using 2 separate mics. Are these phantom powered? The only thing I could suggest but it would mean getting it from someone else on EBay is the LS 100 of Olympus. It was basically something like the H4N of Zoom but with the sound quality of the H6 and it spoke most menus.

It was a little more than I needed and I am not really intrigued with the Zoom P4. I don’t really want to memorize menus as I would prefer accessibility before usability. I am anticipating being out and about more in the near future and would like to have a portable recording option that is accessible. And has recording quality for use in Podcasts. I like the idea of using up to two external microphones if possible. but I can adapt. I looked on Sweetwater since I live in the United States. But under portable recorders I saw a lot of menu driven recorders with touch screens. Thanks for any advice in advance.
