Sounds to me like the disc or drive has gone bad. Can you lay the disc in a standard audio player?

Hi.

I'm using the legacy Windows Media Player on a new Windows 11 machine. On my
previous PC, I'd ripped a CD using a format that I wasn't happy with. On my new
machine, I tried again with a better format. However, each time I put the CD in
the DVD drive, it is ejected moments later. There's no notification explaining
why.

I hesitate to delete the original recording, so I moved the entire folder with
the CD to another area on the C drive. It made no difference.

Can anyone suggest a solution?
