------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jan 16 08:09:07 -0800 2005 ------- I will do that, but I don't really think there is a problem with the the mechanism, its a more a problem of discoverability of the mechanism. There was something funny about the aswer to 2235 which I could not pin down, but I think I figured it out. The use of page numbers described in the 2235 answer is for a cross-reference. But if you want a page number cross-reference it is available under the 'insert'->'cross reference' menu, then one would expect only to be able to reference something that exists. That leaves the only use for the 'Insert'->'fields' menu that a I can think of as getting page numbers into headers and footers. So perhaps the offset box should just be removed, so that the user is forced to discover the correct mechanism to get renumbering. oook. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
