------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jan 16 23:42:46 -0800 2005 ------- Create custom styles, apply them to text, and save the document as RTF or DOC format. Close OOo. Reopen the document. Style names are lost or munged. Document can't be reasonably edited, since styles don't make sense any more. Example 1: New document. Type in "The quick brown fox." Change the font size to 14 points. Type "big" in the style-name box and hit [Enter] to automatically create a new style called "big". Save the file as "test.rtf". Close, and reopen the document. The style now has no name. Any document with custom styles does this. The first custom style loses its name. The second is given the name "WW-", the third, fourth and so on are given the names "WW-1", "WW-12", "WW-123" and so forth. Any file with custom styles that you save in an MS Word format is ruined.
