------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jan 20 10:01:39 -0800 2005 ------- The problem continued on my gentoo ~x86 box with cups 1.1.23 and 1.1.23-r1, with versions through to 1.9.71.1 (actually one version, possible .68 worked on rare and seemingly randomly occassions). ALso does not work with 1.1.23 on Ubuntu Hoary on the same network. 1.9.71.1 does not work with 1.1.20 ?? Ubunu Warty on the office network. All the above systems can see the printers from any other CUPS aware application (e.g. gedit). I appreciate that these are all Linux variants unsupported by the new package system and the use of the Gentoo rpm command to install the application may contribute to the problem.
