------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Jan 21 04:31:10 -0800 2005 ------- Well, Pango and Qt handle the screen well, except for the dagesh (shift-d on the lyx variant of the Israeli keyboard). Pango can even handle the printing well, but only gedit seems to use that faculty. Abiword and all kde apps choke a bit on printing by shifting all the diacritics in the OOo way. I filed a bug report on the kde site (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96858 ) and eventually with Trolltech, they confirmed it, and are going to produce a patch for the next version of QT (or so I was told. If OOo has such trouble with this issue, I hope this doesn't mean that it is programatically too difficult for rapid fixing). I downloaded the Lucida font and will test them later. However, I fear I know too little about fonts to figure out what that font does right. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
