This new thread was established ... but the effects are not realy visible for
the user.
The only thing, which can be detected is a decreasing of used system calls.
e.g. for a simple calc document the system call "gettimeofday" (on linux) could
be
decreased from ~15.800 to ~10.700. There exists further code places inside
office
(e.g. inside the calc module itself) which uses such system calls. So we have
to fix
more then the progress indicator.
