Even with regular expression search, it is inconvenient to insert all three double- quotes from insert->"special character". With the third option, which is selecting it prior to launching the dialog is counter-intuitive because the search text may not be on the screen. If the user need to type in the search text with the quotes, select it and then launch the search screen in order to have the quotes type up properly, then it is an extra step that users need to take to search for text with quotes.
