2005 -------
The "drivers" are PostScript printer definitions (PPD files); the one for
Acrobat Distiller comes from Adobe and for some reason they decided not to
include A1 or A0 as capabilities for distiller. The generic driver is just
another file which happens to contain more paper formats.

The difference between the files are other settings that can be use, e.g. the
distiller PPD defines a printable area of the full page size whereas the generic
PPD leaves at least a little margin on most paper formats.
